Should open the season at third base and batting second in the order… co-captain… one of six seniors on this year’s team and one of three four-year members of the program... fifth-year senior who redshirted as a freshman… enrolled at Eastern in January of 2004… … along with Shawn Gilblair, has contributed both at a position and on the mound in his career… second among active pitchers in appearances (34) and fourth in innings (61 2/3)… brother Ty was a four-year member of the program through 2004…

COACH HOLOWATY: "Trey has been Mr. Utility for us, and certainly stepped up at the end of the year last year and did a great job at third base. Hopefully he will continue this year and make strides forward at being a good third baseman and bat No. 2 for us."

 LAST YEAR: Solidified third base with perfect play on 32 of 33 defensive chances in his first 22 appearances of the season… made each of his 15 starts at third base and batted second in the order 13 times… in his first season as a regular position player, batted .314, including a mark of .395 in 20 regular-season games… beginning with the final game of the regular season against Keene State, hit safely in a career-high ten games, including every game through the regional tournament… in that doubleheader against Keene that clinched a perfect LEC regular season, handled ten chances (nine assists) without an error… had a career-high six assists against Emory College in the national tournament… drove in a career-high three runs and score two in the Little East Conference tournament opener against UMass Dartmouth and scored three runs and drove in two more in the third game of the LEC tourney vs. Southern Maine…  

AS A SOPHOMORE: Was staff's top returning pitcher from 2005 in ERA...  one of the best pitchers on the staff in least walks per nine innings, allowing just over 3.0 per nine innings… came out of the bullpen in five of the team's first 13 games… in relief, pitched a season-high 5 2/3 hitless innings in a 6-2 win at Pomona-Pitzer in the fifth game of the year…  appeared in one post-season tournament game, pitching one-third of an inning… 

AS A FRESHMAN: After redshirting the previous season, was one of eight players to earn a first varsity letter... earned run average was second only to All-New England closer Ben O'Brien... third on the staff in appearances and sixth in innings... 

 HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year starter in baseball and a three-year starter in basketball… shortstop who was all-state as a junior and senior in baseball and was selected to the Connecticut senior all-star game…
