Dante Palazzo returns to the staff  for his second season as an assistant to head coach Bill Holowaty, serving as pitching coach.


A native of West Haven, Palazzo brings nearly 20 years of coaching and instructing to the program.


A former instructor at the Steve Hine Baseball Academy in Milford, Palazzo joined the staff as an instructor at the Grind Baseball Academy in Orange in the winter of 2012/13. Palazzo coaches in the summer in the Gamers program, where 12 players from the 2012 team are playing in college, four in the Big East.


Palazzo has spent time as a pitching coach at Albertus Magnus College, Southern Connectiut, University of Bridgeport and most recently at Pace University and also spent one summer in the wood bat Coastal Plains League with the Petersburg Generals, helping the team to the league championship game in 2002.


The Clinton resident played three seasons of collegiate baseball at Housatonic Community College and at the Division II level at the University of New Haven and Southern Connecticut.


Palazzo makes his home with wife Kristy and their son, Jack Henry.
