WOMEN'S LACROSSE TO CONDUCT CLINIC JANUARY 14 & 21
Skill Development Clinic designed for middle school and high school players
WILLIMANTIC, Conn. – The Eastern Connecticut State University women’s lacrosse program will host a Skill Development Clinic for middle school and high school girls in grades 5-through-12 on Sunday, January 14 and Sunday, January 21 at the Sports Center’s Francis E. Geissler Gymnasium.
On both of those days, the clinic will be held for middle school youngsters (grades 5-through-8) from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and for high school players (grades 9-through-12) from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The clinic is under the supervision of Eastern head coach Christine Jeffrey, with her players serving as clinicians. Proceeds from the clinic will help defray the cost of the team’s early-season trip to Florida in March.
The clinic is geared for girls of all skill levels. The girls will have an opportunity to work and play on an individual basis with college athletes and coaches. Included in the sessions will be work on general skills, offensive and defensive skills, and game play.
Participants should wear sneakers and should bring their stick, mouth guard, and water bottle.
As spots are limited, pre-registration is encouraged. If pre-registered, cost is $25 per player for one day or $40 for both days. Please add an additional $5 if paying on the day of the clinic.
Checks must be made payable to ECSU Women's Lacrosse and can be mailed to Christine Jeffrey, Head Women's Lacrosse Coach, Sports Center, Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic, Conn. 06226.
