The following guidelines are provided:
- Nominees must have contributed significantly to and made an impact on the athletic program, and consideration should be given to the accomplishments of the individual to campus life and the greater community during their years at Eastern and after leaving Eastern. Possible nominees will be asked to complete an “Information Form of Possible Nominees” for review by the committee.
- Athletes must have attended and participated in one sport for at least two traditional seasons at Eastern.
- It is recommended that athletes become eligible for nomination 10 years after leaving the university.
- Athletes must have left Eastern as a graduate or in good standing with a minimum GPA of 2.0 and a minimum of 48 credits. Attempts will be made to determine if the individual has subsequently obtained a degree or attended another collage, with or without intercollegiate athletic experience at that college.
- It is recommended that a coach or administrator must have been a member of the Eastern staff for at least five years, and is no longer coaching or working at Eastern in the sport or position for which he/she is being nominated.
