The liberal arts education focus of the School of Arts and Sciences provides students with many opportunities to explore interdisciplinary minors and to design a unique interdisciplinary academic plan of study for a student-centered Individualized Major (for example, Cognitive Neuroscience, Physical Therapy, Arts Management, Sustainable Studies).
Our interdisciplinary minors and Individualized Major programs reflect the broad-based education, global perspective and appreciation for diversity that are needed for careers in the 21st century. For more information on interdisciplinary minors visithereor check out the Eastern catalog, pp. 265-279.

A pre-professional research or creative experience is also a key component to academic success. The School of Arts and Sciences sponsors an annual Arts and Sciences Student Research Conference and Exhibition. For more infomation regarding this event, please go here.
Faculty and student research collaborations develop our students' skills to make them marketable in their chosen careers. Examples of such motivating faculty research is now on exhibit at the Connecticut Science Center, as part of the CSU-CT Science Center educational partnership. |
