Danny Glover and Felix JusticeTelevision, film and theater star Danny Glover and longtime friend and fellow actor/director Felix Justice will stage “An Evening with Martin and Langston” on Feb. 9. The show draws audiences inside the worlds of two of the greatest orators of the 20th century: Martin Luther King Jr. and Langston Hughes. The evening begins with Justice’s critically acclaimed portrayal of King. Through the words of his most memorable speeches, Justice transforms into the legendary civil-rights leader, recreating the power of the man and his message. Glover then enters the stage to bring to life the words and poetry of Langston Hughes, one of the 20th century’s most celebrated writers.
Glover is perhaps best known for his roles in the “Lethal Weapon” movie series and the Academy Award-winning movies “Places in the Heart” and “The Color Purple.” Justice has performed in theater productions of “Blues for Mr. Charlie,” “Henry V,” “High on Pilot’s Bluff” and “The River Niger.” Back to Arts & Lecture
