Change of Major and/or Advisor
Full-Time Continuing Students

If you would like to declare a major, change your major, and/or change your advisor, you must complete a "Change of Major/Advisor" form. You can find out more about the major programs offered here at Eastern by clicking here.

Fill out the top portion of the form with the appropriate requested information. Make sure you put your Eastern Student Identification number, NOT your Social Security number.

The Advising Center automatically assigns advisors for all new full-time students and when a undeclared student selects a major. You may request a particular advisor from your major department chairperson.

After obtaining this form and filling out the appropriate information, you must get the signature of the chairperson of the new/current major. Either the department chairperson will return this form to the Advising Center via mail or you can drop the form off in person.

After the Advising Center receives a completed "Change of Major/Advisor" form allow ten (10) business days for processing. After the ten days check your student web account to confirm that the appropriate changes have been made.

Part-Time Students

In order to declare a major if you are currently undeclared or just changing your major, then you must complete a "Change of Major/Advisor" form. Part-time students can obtain this form by visiting the School of Continuing Education in Wood SSC, Room 100Ll.

Fill out the top portion of the form with the appropriate requested information. Make sure you put your Eastern Student Identification number, NOT your Social Security number.

After obtaining this form and filling out the appropriate information, it must be returned to and signed by the Dean of the School of Continuing Education.
