You are officially on your way to becoming a Warrior! This guide will help ensure that you are fully prepared for the start of the Fall 2019 semester and an excellent year.

 

Step 1Complete the FAFSA
File the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) as soon as possible to qualify for grants and other funding. Eastern’s priority deadline is June 1, 2019. For more information, visit www.easternct.edu/finaid/ or call (860) 465-5205.
Step 2Activate your Office 365 e-mail account
Your Office 365 e-mail account is the primary source of communication between you and Eastern. Prior to arriving to campus, you will receive emails to inform you about placement testing, housing, financial aid, and registration. Your account credentials are also used to access eWeb to view your transfer credit evaluation, submit your deposits, register for classes, view your financial aid, and more. Instructions to activate your Office 365 account are enclosed in this packet; please refer to your acceptance letter for your Eastern ID, username, and e-mail address.
Step 3View your transfer credit evaluation
Once your official transcripts have been reviewed, the evaluation will be posted on eWeb Online Services: http://eweb.easternct.edu. You may access this by logging into your Office 365 account, and clicking the icon titled “SelfService (eWeb)”.
Step 4Advising and course registration
For more information about Advising Center services, please visit http://www.easternct.edu/advising/new-transfer-students/. If you have any questions, call the Advising Center at (860) 465-4526. Please note: Students can pay their tuition deposit before registering for classes. Transfer and Re-Admitted students will be able to register with current Eastern students in their designated class (determined by number of completed credits).

Step 5Submit non-refundable deposit
Commit to being a Warrior! You are encouraged to pay your tuition deposit as soon as possible. The University reserves the right to return deposits received after enrollment capacity has been reached. Payable at http://eweb.easternct.edu.

Students living on campus: $450 non-refundable tuition and housing deposit.

Students living off campus: $200 non-refundable tuition deposit.
Step 6Complete housing application
Visit http://www.easternct.edu/housing/apply-for-housing/ for detailed application instructions after submitting your deposit(s).

Hall placement will be determined in a first-come first-served manner based on the date your housing deposit is paid and the application is submitted. Hall assignments do not begin until April 15. Be sure to check your Eastern email account for updates after this date.
Step 7Reserve mandatory SOAR session
SOAR (Student Orientation, Advising and Registration) is a day-long orientation program in the summer designed to introduce all new students to life on
campus.

Visit www.easternct.edu/orientation/ and click on "Transfer Students" for detailed information and to register to attend a SOAR Session. Students must submit the non-refundable tuition deposit prior to reserving a SOAR date.

SOAR Dates: Monday, July 15, 2019 or Tuesday, July 16, 2019
Step 8Complete required health forms and insurance waiver
Please go to www.easternct.edu/health/ for the required health forms and insurance waiver information. Be sure to review the "Five Things You Need to Read" form.
