Congratulations on your admission to Eastern Connecticut State University! The following check list is offered to help you plan and prepare for your enrollment at Eastern. We hope that it will help ensure a smooth transition to our university community this fall. Incoming Fall 2012 First-Time Freshman Check List

	Submit non-refundable deposit to Bursar by May 1, 2012. Please note admission does not guarantee enrollment. The University reserves the right to return deposits after enrollment capacity has been reached. Residential Students: $450 non-refundable tuition and housing deposit, if residing on campus. Commuter Students: $200 non-refundable tuition deposit.
	Activate your Eastern email account. Your Eastern email account will be used to convey important information regarding incoming student programs, placement testing, financial aid, and registration. Activate your account immediately.
	Complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid, if applying for financial aid. FAFSA completion preference date: March 15, 2012. For more information, contact the Office of Financial Aid at financialaid@easternct.edu
	Attend a mandatory Student Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR) program. Click for detailed information and to register to attend a SOAR.
	Complete the Preference Registration process. Students who have submitted tuition deposits will be sent Preference Registration information in April.
	Connect with other students on the Class of 2016 Facebook Page.
	Read about Eastern’s Liberal Arts Curriculum and First-Year Program.
	Submit completed CSU Health and insurance forms prior to start of the fall semester.
	Placement into appropriate Mathematics and English courses.
	Submit official transcript(s) for any transfer credit course worksuch as AP, TechPrep, college or university- level classes taken in high school
