Faculty Members: If a student in your course is registered with the OAS with a documented disability and requires academic accommodations, the student is asked to provide you with a signed Letter of Accommodation, which is drafted by the OAS. The OAS provides the student with two signed copies of the Letter of Accommodation; one copy is for you to keep for your files and the other copy is to be signed and returned to the OAS. Please note that not all students request their Letters of Accommodations at the beginning of the semester. If a faculty member or a student needs clarification on the process of providing or receiving accommodations, OAS staff is available to answer questions, discuss concerns, and problem-solve any issues related to providing accommodations and instructing students with disabilities.
