Students who are registered with the OAS must request accommodations each semester. Accommodations do not automatically roll into the next semester because the need for services may change with new courses (or due to changes with the disability).

Please submit an online Service Request Form as soon as you have registered for your next semester courses. If you do not remember your accommodations, you may email OAS staff at If you would like to use all of the accommodations for which you are granted, you may simply write “All accommodations.” After you have submitted the Service Request Form and your request for accommodations has been approved, you will receive an email on your Eastern email account to let you know that your Letters of Accommodations have been created. Your letters will be emailed directly to your professors before the start of the semester. Please let OAS staff know if you would prefer to pick up signed, hard copies of your letters to deliver to your professors.

Each request for accommodations will be reviewed for approval, based on documentation. It is the student’s responsibility to provide the OAS with current documentation. Please note that accommodations are not retroactive.
