ECSU-AAUP World-Wide-Web Policy

This policy is designed to clarify and to communicate the authority of and the mechanism by which content is designed, added to, and removed from the ECSU-AAUP collection of World-Wide-Web pages.

1. The ECSU-AAUP executive committee is responsible for all content that appears in the collection of web pages on its website. However, any member of the ECSU-AAUP chapter may propose content alterations for the ECSU-AAUP website by memorandum to the ECSU-AAUP president.

2. The ECSU-AAUP executive committee shall appoint a webmaster who is free to design proposed pages within the framework of artistic license, but is subject to #3 below. The webmaster is released from individual liability for the pages within the context of #1 above.

3. Pages are added to, altered within, or removed from the ECSU-AAUP website only after printed copies of pertinent pages have been circulated, discussed, and acted upon at a duly-convened meeting of the ECSU-AAUP executive committee.

4. The ECSU-AAUP webmaster is exclusively responsible for electronically adding, editing, and removing the files from the ECSU-AAUP website server pursuant to actions taken by the ECSU-AAUP executive committee under #3 above.

5. This policy, approved by the ECSU-AAUP executive committee on December 13, 2000, shall appear as one of the pages on the ECSU-AAUP website. Moreover, this policy, however amended in the future by the ECSU-AAUP executive committee, shall not be removed from the ECSU-AAUP website.
